Fine Jewelry Care Guide

Purchasing fine jewelry is an investment and should be treated with care. The following are tips to help you keep your jewelry in great shape for years to come.
Regularly Clean Your Jewelry

If you wear your jewelry often it is recommended that you clean it every 2-3 weeks because it can become coated with a film due to dishwater, perfumes, lotions, and skin oils. This can cause the jewelry to become dull or dirty. You can clean it by soaking it in warm water with a mild liquid soap and then drying it with a lint free cloth. You want to avoid cleaning your jewelry with chlorine as this is a harsh, strong chemical that can damage metal.

Store Your Jewelry Properly

It is imperative to store your jewelry properly in a quality jewelry box. If you are storing it in a box that is made to hold more than one item, make sure each piece has its own compartment so they do not rub against each other. Anjolee also recommends wrapping each item in a soft cloth for added protection to ensure the metal does not scratch.
